bettercategories flyout

Has anyone changed the bettercategories file to allow flyout subcategories.

CSS flyout mod seems to be a lot of work to bring colours and style back to original for my template.

Just wondering if there is a simple code addition to the bettercategories file to allow for the flyout.

Too bad I didn't see this when it was originally posted...
BetterCategories, like the original categories sidebox, does not have a structure that would allow it to be used as a flyout, not to mention the underlying data retrieval does not furnish the information needed for flyout use.

If you want flyout, you need to use one of the flyout-capable mods, like CSS Flyout Menu, or Categories Dressing with ch_categories and the flyout rules from its support thread.
