Display products on a category page that has subcategories?

Hi!

I'm hoping this is a very basic question.

SETUP:

1. Let's say I have 2 top categories: Cars; Trucks
2. Inside of "Cars", I have the following products for sale: Porche 911; Ford Pinto (In case my customers live in a cold climate)
3. But I also have the following subcategories inside of "Cars": Accessories for Porche 911; Accessories for Ford Pinto

I want my visitor to be able to click on "Cars" and to see the Porche and Pinto I am selling. But I also want them to be able to dig deeper and accessorize.

THE QUESTION:
How do I make sure that any category that contains a product displays the product? Even if that category has subcategories?

The reason I hope the answer is simple: my database has thousands and thousands of products, buried in hundreds of subcategories.

You can't have both products and subcategories in a category in Zencart without possibly causing weird display problems.

Mega bummer. So how could I restructure the example above in a sensible way? Without cluttering up the view?

I can't see a way to do it... what if I have 20 cars listed, I can't very well bump all the accessory categories up.

After some creative searching the product file I was about to upload, I've discovered that there are only a dozen or so products that won't show up because of this issue. I thought this was much more pervasive. Since it's not, I've decided to drop them all into other categories. Problem gone! :)
