Sale on Gift certificate

Hello!

I would like to offer discounts for my gift certificates (for example sell $10 Gift certificate for $9), however I understand that it is disabled in Zen Cart and I understand the logic why it works that way. However I still would like to offer discounts on certificates but disable the ability for customers to purchase certificates with gift certificates. Can somebody point me what should be edited to make it work?
