Linking to website outside my store

Is there a way to link to a website when you select the category?

I would like to create a category that has zero products, open a separate browser window and links to an existing website.

And then what ? Is your intention that I will buy this product through Zencart ? Please give us as much information as you can about how you want this to work.

This project is to transition a flower shop online store from the current service to their own site. This link, called "Additional", would take bring up a new page and let the shopper buy flowers from the old site. After the customer base has gotten use to buying from the zen cart the link would be removed.

I would use this mod - http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=673 and have the EZ page link (using the external link to the other site) appear in the Categories box.

Another option would be to modify one of the sidebox template files to add your link (and then in admin, go to Tools->Layout Boxes Controller to display that sidebox).
