CSS button problem: gradient background with IE

the gradient filter works with input elements only, shown as below:

A link to your site will help, there are a lot of ways to make a gradient. And I am pretty sure it has noting to do with the element being an input type or not

It isn't a living site, I just test on local. The filter is work with input elements, but not work with others. According to content on the MS site, the Gradient Filter should work with <a> and <span>.
