I've since added the royal mail shipping modules but they dont work either so im assuming there must be something missing between the database talking to the site. I dont know if any previous changes to 1.3 would have made changes to the database, but i would have thought that the upgrade installation should have address any issues or flagged up errors?

just to add i am running a template, i reverted to the default template and nothing changes so im ruling out anything there.

Are you seeing any debug logs in your directory /cache for older versions /logs for v1.5+ ...

If you install the Shipping Module for Flat Rate flat ... does it display?

This looks like you have one or more 'corrupted' files. The error above is the 1st error you'll need to take care of, which may or may not take care of the errors that follow (these things have a cascading effect).

You'll need to work through the error messages one at a time 'cos you may have more than one problem.

the first one would be my error as i was trying to comment out some of the template parts like twitter etc.
i have removed the code i added so that should work now.

As for the second im not sure how to fix that?
