Default Different Browser Problems - Chrome

    Hello,

If this has been answered please send me a link to the answer, I caught myself looking but I could have overlooked it.

I've been gone from Zen-Cart for quite awhile but just came back and trying to get started again. I downloaded and installed Zen-Cart v1.5.1 the other day but for some reason, it will open in IE and Firefox but not Chrome. I've tried it on two computers with the same result. When I try using Chrome or Firefox I get to the login screen but when I put in my login information and click the login button, the login page comes right back up again. I've copied and pasted the login/password info to be sure I got it right.

Not sure if it makes any difference or not but I'm using Hostgator and am having to use a dedicated IP for access because my domain I will be using is currently a live site on another host. Hostgator made the necessary changes so that my Zen-Cart would work with the IP address until I am ready to point the domain name over.

I would prefer to use Chrome as I installed Apsona and it doesn't work in IE at all.

If anyone can spread some light on this I'd sure appreciate it. If I've posted this to the wrong place, just let me know.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Jim

Chrome does some weird things with cookies sometimes, and with some servers you need to flip a switch to force a dot-prefix change. There's a setting for that in Admin->Configuration->Sessions.
Don't change the other settings though; just that one.

Ok found "Add period prefix to cookie domain" is that the one you mean? It's marked as "True" right now, do I need to make it False?

    Thanks much

    DrByte,

Thanks for the help, that worked, I changed it from True to False and that did the trick. Thanks again.
