Restrict certain products to certain postcodes

Hi

I currently use Region tables for shipping.

Is there any way to restrict certain products to certain postcodes, e.g. we have products that can only be delivered locally, but at present, in spite of the numerous messages, people still order 'local only' products from other parts of the country?

Help appreciated.

Google 'advanced shipper Ceon'. It's *the best* shipping module going and will do exactly what you need.

Not sure if picandnix suggestion will work for you.

But, you may have a starting point with this one:

Then you would need to add another field in the products table (restrict_local true/false) and if restrict_local = true then the only shipping method available would be Store Pickup by Delivery Postcode - cloned and modified for your needs.

I think that would work, but not without some custom coding.

however, it does cost more

i can see how what you suggest may work for me though, interesting...

Would this work for you?

Local Delivery Only Products

To test this on that demo site log in as [email protected]

with password localonly

Add some products from the categories 'All Can See' or 'Free For All' or 'Normal Category' for testing purposes

When logged in with above credentials, try changing the delivery address of [email protected] from postcode 4551 (this is local) to 3999 (the remote address), then add or delete some products to/from the cart and see how the available shipping methods change.

Let me know if this is suitable and I try to find some time to package it up and submit it to the plugins.
