How to display products in a simple list?

Hello All,

I'm trying ZenCart out because it was a one-click install with my Dreamhost account :). I am trying to set up a site that offers free video or audio presentations (CD or DVD). I was happy to see as I went through the admin section that there is an option for free/no payment and also free shipping.

I noticed in all of the templates I looked at I only see items in a grid layout. I would like to display all my products in a simple list, something like:

SKU - Title - Presenter - Date - Type (user can select CD or DVD) - Quantity (textbox) - <Add to Cart Button>

That't it..I don't need any images or anything..just a list (or I guess that's technically a table...)
Is there a template that is close to this or am I looking into re-writing large sections of the code?

Ideally I'd like the site to come up with a very basic home page where I just have a little blurb and maybe a picture (I'm no stranger to HTML so this isn't an issue). I have a couple category links at the top of the page. When someone clicks on the category they just get a list of all the products they can add to their cart.

I know zenCart can do it..my only question is is it easy or reeeeally hard

Only difference is I would have the add to cart button at each item and also an option to choose CD/DVD. looks like I'm about to get myself educated :)

The one-click install may create problems for you in the future. If you are really at the beginning of this trek, you might want to regroup and install the cart in the best way. That's downloading and installing the full cart in accordance with the instructions in the /docs folder.
