    Default Display Attribute choice in Shopping Cart

    I thought Zen cart did this??
    eg If Product has choice of colour or size then I would expect to see the cosen colour/size in the shopping cart so customer could double check before going to Checkout (where it would also be nice to see the choice.

    Simple enough ( I hope) but I cannot see where to set this!

    My stock Zencart test site does display attributes in the shopping cart. What happens if you switch temporarily to the Classic template ?

    Yes, Zen Cart does show the attribute in the cart. But only if the customer selected the attribute.

    Ah yes...it DOES show in the Standard green template(!).
    Where do I look to find out why it is missing?

    Compare all your custom template's files against the original template_default master files. WinMerge is a handy tool to automate that process.

    Yes, that had occurred to me but could take some time - I was hoping someone could pinpoir a likely file/folder that may cause the problem.

    A link to your site might let us spot something.

    So would a list of all your addons/customizations/plugins.

    And, I mentioned WinMerge specifically because it automates the comparison process and takes about 5 seconds to show you all the differences between all the files in the folders you give it.

    I'll look into winmerge - thanks.
    my site (under development with just some sample test products) is http://www.thegiftshop.tv/index.php
    This was from a purchased template, and have added:
    CKEditor
    Convert to UK Dates
    Products with attributes
    Dropship Core (though not actually used)
    CEON SEO url
    Captcha
    ...have also made many little 'tweaks' to code to display as I want.

    I would add that I have been back to check the Demo of the purchased template and that also DOES NOT show the attribute choice in cart.

    Oy!

    Do you realize that you've got jQuery loading THREE times, each with different versions, on your site?
    You'll want to clean that up if you intend to improve site performance.
    While that's unlikely to be a direct cause of attributes not showing in the cart, it's still worth fixing.

    You've definitely got custom code causing your problems.
    The following HTML from your shopping cart page, including the misspelling, does not come built-in with Zen Cart:

    Code:
    <!-- To Display Attribute in Shooping Cart -->
    <div id="attpingu">
    </div>
    Perhaps you should go back to whomever you purchased your template from and ask them to fix their bug?
