    red flag Shopping Cart Spam

Since the past few days I am observing somebody adding hundreds of products to the shopping cart of our website, he does not log in, our server slows down a lot when he does this.

As of now we have blocked his IP however we fear he may return using other IP's

Is there is a way to limit the shopping cart total to $5000 so that nobody can indulge in such kind of malpractices ?

These modules only limit the checkout whereas the issue I am facing is these guys just keep adding products to the cart , hundred's of them (eg. of value $1 million and above) , hence slowing down our server.

How can we stop them from adding products to cart say not more than $5000, logged in or not.

Add code someplace to check whether $_SESSION['cart']->total > 5000 and if so, do both $_SESSION['cart']->reset(true) and then unset($_SESSION)
