Trouble with CSS - Search Header Distorted

Hello all,

I need help... I messed myself up a long time ago and can't fix this issue.

This is our search bar on the mainpage:


When you process a search or go anywhere else on the site, the search bar is being distorted and the search field is displaced as such:


The two long and red ovals represent where I used to have a 'like on us Facebook' blurb which I cannot recall how I added or removed (that was a year ago).

I managed to add it by manipulating css files, I just can't recall which ones!

Please help, it is much appreciated.
