    help question Parcel Force?

I have a client who ships from the UK and uses Parcel Force.
He ships to other countries. What would be the best method to setup his shipping prices.
The prices below are for his books that weigh approx 2.4 kilos. However they also sell bottle oils that vary but are in say
    50ml bottles.

    UK £13.00
    Channel islands £14.00
    Ireland £23.00
    Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg £32.00
    France, Germany and Denmark £21.00
Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece £35.00
    Rest of Europe £40.00
    USA and Canada £37.20
Australia and Far East; China, Japan £59.60
    Rest of the world £63.50

We want to be able to have the best setup for this shop so customers are not overcharged and client is not shorted with shipping prices.
    Any suggestions?
    The cart is running 1.5.1
    Thanks

the best all rounder is Ceon Advanced Shipper, just Google it, and plenty of positive opinions in the forums too.

The site is a very small store on an extremely small budget. So for them to pay for a module simply for one or two items is not feasible.
Let me explain. All items except their books are under free shipping (price is included in the cost). However the books weigh approximately 2.4kg and a kit they sell weighs approx 2.5kg. So those charges are just for those items really. So basically there are two items only that we need to have shipping set for. We a way to set the zones as well as maybe per item. So would I then need to actually create say 10 per item shipping modules for each zone and pricing?

Could you set it as free shipping up to 2.3kg then the shipping fee kicks in at 2.4kg. for ease charge the same shipping for the 2.5kg item too. Then, as you already suggest, create the same rule per zone with prices to suit.

As an aside, to support my original suggestion (I have no commercial interest in Ceon other than all positive user experience). How many hours will it take you to replicate and then set up each zone? Multiple that by your hourly charge as their developer and keep in mind the fact that they now have a totally flexible and user friendly shipping tool, not to mention the ease factor for you...is Advanced Shipper really that expensive?

Well what I have done at this point is all items that require free shipping where price is already included are set as free shipping.
The other two items I will see what solution the client wants. I am actually not charging them an hourly but a small fixed rate. Small start up biz. sometimes I do favors LOL
I agree though Ceons modules have always been above and beyond worth it. Have used many of them myself. I was sorry to hear he had passed away. Maybe when this client has a better amount of business going they can go in that direction. But with the small amount of products It may be best to just keep it light as they wish.
And yes you did indeed answer my question the first time around. I probably wasn't as detailed as I could have been in my first post.
    Thanks for the help.

Is there no way to include the cost of shipping in the price of the books and kits, as you do with the other products ?

    Steve,
that is how they were doing it initially. But they decided they wanted the shipping seperated. I ended up cloning the flat rate modules into 9 more for each set of zones they needed. It actually wasn't all that difficult. Just redundant and bit time consuming. But they are happy with it. And it is working smoothly.
I am sure there must be an easier way LOL
