Thanks for the reply, all my items have weights and measurements installed. I presently use Canada Post as a shipper however they will not ship larger items. I have tried the purolator module which calculates using the same specs. I am looking for a shipper with a shipping module that can handle or calculate shipping specs for all size items. I have had my developer look at the UPS module and I beleive he had issues making it work with Zencart. My customers can purchase and check out on my site. If the item is over the Canada Post dimensions that they will carry, the customer must contact me for a shipping quote. This often means I loose the sale. I am asking if anyone working with zencart has a shipper with a working module that will ship all size parcels.
Methinks you are putting the cart before the horse. The shipping company must exist before a shipping module. Who do you usually use to ship 'oversize' items?
If you've not sold any such product yet then what makes you so sure you are going too? Quite often, the shipping costs of 'oversize' items can exceed the cost of the items themselves.
You could be looking for a fix to a problem that doesn't actually exist.
I ask again, what would be the good of providing a quote if the courier/carrier (in this case UPS) won't handle the item anyway?
And what do you tell them?
Do you have proof of this, or is it just speculation?
My apologies. Your message didn't make it clear that you didn't yet even have a shipping company in mind. This is a big ask though. Do you plan to ship Sherman Tanks, or is the largest item you plan on selling going to be a hot air balloon? What (and where) you need to ship is going to be your primary deciding factor. If/when you settle on a suitable arrangement THEN you should start considering what modules are available.
From what I understand. the Ceon Advanced Shipper can be configured to handle most quote requirements, but its still no good trying to quote for items that can't be shipped due to size/weight limitations.
Cheers
Rod
I've successfully added dimensional shipping quotes via UPS Parcel... But keep in mind they do have limits on size and weight...
The bigger question (as others have pointed out) is to ask "who do you use for oversize shipping"? Once you have picked / found a few shipping carriers... You can contact them and ask if they have any modules for Zen Cart, provide flat or table rate shipping, or have an API for integrating quotes. For very large packages / deliveries it is not uncommon to use a LTL freight carrier.

The glass is not half full. The glass is not half empty. The glass is simply too big!
Where are the Zen Cart Debug Logs? Where are the HTTP 500 / Server Error Logs?

I use Numinix's Shipping Boxes Manager, that usually gives me the best results.
My company is desperately trying to figure out how to do this. We had it going with about 90% accuracy in our previous store under version 1.3.8a (I think), but when we updated to the 1.5.1 version, we lost the module we'd been using because it had to be overwritten with new UPS data.
I would greatly appreciate some assistance with this. =)
