splitting orders

splitting orders

here is the scenario:

1. customer orders products a,b, and c
2. i need to then order product a from vendor 1, product b from vendor 2 and product c from vendor 3
3. how do i split the order 3 times to organize the order flow process?

*super orders only allows an order to be split 1 time, i need to be able to split the order 3 to sometimes 5 times.

I answered your question on the Super Orders v3.0 support thread..

Your other option is to use the "Add Order" module (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1500) and along with Edit Orders you could create your new orders and Edit the original to remove the products you've added to the orders you added.

Keep in mind though everything I spoke of in the Super Orders thread still applies.. You will have little to no reconciliation between these orders and will have to come up with a way to keep track of them. And you still will have issues related to payment processors. (all covered in my response on the Super Orders thread)

my other question is:

whats the best way to handle this situation? i order from multiple drop shippers from a single order, and i cant find an easy way to separate out my order to turn around and order from the drop shipper.

any suggestions??

I have no other suggestions other than using the module I suggested.. (with all the same concerns/caveats)
