    Default v160 Questions

I finally got around to downloading the dev files for v160

    Installation Process

My questions are more towards the responsive template implementation.

I noticed the download had no signs of a responsive design:
Is this being kept within the dev team till release?
Is it not priority at this stage of development?
Is it being put on the back burner?

Any hints as to how it will be structured:
    Built into core code?
    Another template select?

Will existing template packages be void?

    Just wondering

The new template isn't ready yet, so hasn't been committed to core yet.
It will probably become the primary template, as in it will most likely replace template_default.

Old templates may work with some adjustments, but old templates definitely won't be able to take advantage of new functionality.
Lots of things will be almost exactly the same, but will have new CSS classes and other improvements.
Other things have had the guts reworked to be much more efficient, and hopefully more effective both visually and in terms of user-friendliness/usability.
Other things are still on the chopping block. :)
