    help question CC not accepted?

I have had a few customers contact me and tell me that their CC wasn't accepted. I only use PP in my shop. I have several orders come through from different countries. Of course people can use their debit/CC and customers have done it with success. Some have even done echecks. I took the currency converter off my shop since it caused a problem with Paypal (it held some GBP and wouldn't convert them until I told it to manually).

I'm not understanding why a couple here and there can't get their cards to work. One recently came to me about this issue, and she swears her card is brand new.

Any thoughts on what could cause CC/debit problems when checking out through Paypal, and how to remedy it? I've tried offering direct invoicing so they can still get their products, but they often don't go with that idea.

Any help would be appreciated. :-) Thank you!

If PayPal is rejecting the card, then you need to contact PayPal about it directly. Zen Cart has no control over whether PayPal accepts or rejects a card, regardless of how new or old the card is.

When you talk to PayPal, they will need the details of the card and the customer trying to use it. There's no point saying "my store is seeing card-rejects from PayPal, please help", because they can't help you with that. They need the exact transaction. You could possibly get that from debug logs if you want to fill your server with transaction debug logs. http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...Logging-PayPal

Or just have the customer contact PayPal. Ya, I know they probably won't do that, but this isn't something *you* can fix yourself.

Best you can do is give PayPal the transaction details from the PayPal_CURL_xxxxxx.log files generated when the customer attempts the transaction. There are 3 for each "good" transaction, and maybe fewer if the customer aborts the transaction. Any other logs that don't say "PayPal_CURL" in the filename can be ignored, even deleted.
