New Cart - Want to remove Units In Stock

Is it possible to remove the "Units in Stock" feature or will that just make the cart think that I am "out of stock" and won't show an "add to cart" link?

I am just starting out with Zencart and really have a hard time of it for some reason. I know html but this css is all new to me

Go to your Zen Cart Admin and in the Catalog ... Product Type ... click EDIT LAYOUT on the one(s) you want to not show it and change:

Show Quantity in Stock
Display Quantity in Stock on Product Info 0= off 1= on

Ok, I did that but it deleted one of my Tabbed features in the Tabbed Products! It still says "units" by the price and cart button, so I set everything on that particular product to zero and now it says out of stock. I just want all my products to not show the customer a certain amount of quantity in stock but, of course, I want it to not say out of stock.

Is this even possible with zencart? and why did setting the "show quantity in stock" to 0 remove on of my tabs?

I do not use that add-on ... perhaps someone who does can jump in and help you on this one ...
