define_Main_page text not displaying

I have typed in some text via define Pages and all looks ok.

However, the text is not showing on the Home web page - any thoughts as to why?
Define Page status all set to 1.
All other define pages texts that I inserted are fine.

That's all fine and dandy, but it doesn't show *us* what *you* are expecting to see, and all looks fine to me.

Cache has been cleared.
Simply trying to put a few lines of 'Welcome' text on the main page.

Not really a html expert but I do see type="hidden" in the source code referring to main_page, which sounds suspiciou...is this anything to do with it?

Where did you get your template from? Perhaps hiding any text has been hardcoded in?

After a little research it looks to me like the dreaded...Template Monster!

It was from Template Mela.... so does the 'type=hidden' cause the problem....and if so where and to what should it be changed?
