Trouble with moving site to a new server

Ok, before anyone posts about this I have read and followed this documentation tutorial linked:

My problem is the site is showing up ok but when I go to my admin area/folder for login, I am getting the installation page again. I never replaced my [admin-folder]/configuration.php and my includes/configuration.php so they should both be the same. I ran the fix-cache module and I'm still having trouble accessing the login page to my admin panel. It is prompting me with the Installation page as if one of the config files might have been changed.

If I could get some help with this issue before Tomm., it would help me a lot in getting this site up. Any information would be awesome.

When that happens, the cause is almost always incorrect path information, in this case in [admin]includes/configure.php. Triple check that file to see that the paths point to the new URL. Sometimes, the configure.php file is changed, but the permissions aren't changed before uploading so the changes don't 'take'.

Thank you! I was looking at the wrong file when I uploaded everything so it did get overwritten with my local content. I really appreciate the quick reply!
