Default perweightunit Shipping Module, different shipping prices for different quantities

Hi, Hope everyone is having a beautiful night! I am trying to figure out the perweightunit shipping module, in order to offer different shipping fees for different quantities of a product purchased. Example: Product 1 costs $5.88 to ship, but if a customer orders 2 of that same product, it will only cost $7.45. If they order 3, it will cost $7.93, etc. until someone orders 20, then shipping if free. (I am really not wanting to sign up with the USPS to use their quote module thingy.) If anyone could point me in the right direction, or even explain this, that would be awesome! Thanks, Kelley

This shipping module makes no sense! Another example: 250 Business Cards costs one price and costs a certain price to ship, and 500 cards costs another price and cost another price to ship. How are attributes supposes to be applied? I have a way that works using the perweightunt module, yet it displays a quantity box on the product page that does absolutely nothing. What am I not getting? K :)

BTW, I know this is run by volunteers, but I posted this question in the attributes section of the forum, and got answers not related to my question, so maybe this is the right section for my question?

Per Unit perweightunit shipping module is based solely on Product Weight/Attribute Weight and has nothing it in to control discounts based on Product Quantity in the cart ...

Anything like that you would need to customize the code to manage ...

Thanks, Ajeh, If you're still on here, can you tell me if there is php coding that needs to be done to use the USPS Shipping module. I signed up for the calculator with the USPS, and have installed the shipping module, turned it on, and in test mode, I am not getting quotes. Does that not happen until it goes into production mode? Thanks again.

Turn it on for Production Server, as USPS is moofy on the Test Server ...

Also be sure to contact USPS and ask them to update your USPS Web Tools User ID for the Production Server ...

Call USPS 1-800-344-7779 (7:00AM to 11:00PM ET) and ask them to take account out of Test...ie: Put into production mode.

Also, Is there any documentation online that explains how to do shipping prices. IT seems like this would be a common request, as shipping is usually based in weight anyway. Table, zones? Is this software only set up, so that when you get to shipping, yo have to hire someone? What am I missing? Thanks Kelley

Thank you, that's what I was thinking. It says in my email, that I can just email them. Is that not right? After 3 days of trying to figure out shipping, my brain is mush. LOL
