I have searched the forum, i have read the faqs, read numerous threads.

None of it makes any sense to me.

I am in the position of revamping my website as it was left in a less than desirable state.Not by me.

I changed the template to classic green so i could add the pages it desperately needed, like the basic contact us etcc.

i spent hours trawling the net and on here on how to add and edit various pages. Took me 4 hours to figure out how to add pages through EZ pages

But my logo, adding it has totally bewildered me, and im now in a state where i dont know what to do. ive tried following the FAQ, but to be honest, im on a very very steep learning curve here and what ive done so far, has been pure luck and going through all the drop down lists one by one.

i really need a guide where everything is step by step in basically kiddie language, ive no idea what a php file is, what ftp is, the pictures on the website appeared when i changed the template from what was a zen template. which is what it was before. I darent upgrade to version 1.5 as i cant even figure out this one completely.

i cant find the include file, whatever it is, ive tried searching developer tools as suggested in a previous thread.. but nothing comes up in regards to the three files needed to edit as said in a thread.

my website is still live, i cant afford to take it out of commision to do what needs to be done, so i keep a front page open whilst editing in another. That way i can refresh the front page and see what changes happen.

Can any one help me please? i know this question has been asked so many times before.. i just dont understand it. Ive never built a website before, ive never done anything like this before, im just the one who notes the orders, makes the products, sends them out and deals with customers. Ive never had to deal with the inner workings of the site.

If these things are true, sorry, we can't help. Even if you understood PHP, FTP, etc., if you don't have server access, you can't work with an existing Zencart installation, other than those options configurable in admin. Simple as that. First order of business would be to get the server login credentials from your partner. Then install an FTP client (many here use Filezilla) and figure out how it works (easy). Then many more of the FAQ's will make sense to you.

Yes they are true.
Zen cart had been installed already on the server and was up and running, but it needed sorting out. I did not like the way it was done. Too many pages missing and it did not comply with law.
Can I not upload the logo from my pc? Does it have to be from the server?

You have to upload it from your PC to your server (using FTP such as Filezilla as mentioned).

So basically once you have access you'll be able to start making things the way/style you like them.
