Shipping help please!

Hi guys

I am going nuts !

I have spent about 12 hours over past two days looking for a good youtube tutorial on setting up shipping modules and tables / zones and ive found nothing but junk. 2 minute videos on someone who says 1 thing that does not help.

Here is what I need

I sell hydroponic systems on www.bocahydro.com

To ship my average system here in florida its about 45 bucks

To ship it to Washington state its 95 bucks.

I cannot flat ship by weight or item because the costs vary too much

So I thought I needed to setup zones, but zones appear to be related to countries. So I went under zone definitions and I have lower 48+ DC installed but I don't know how to do much else.

I see people on here have add ons that help determine shipping costs. I will also be shipping stuff via USPS ( small things )

I would love an add on that helps but I cant seem to find anything good ( And free )

I see ship station but that isn't going to be an option since its expensive and may be some time before I can afford the additional expense.

Are there any free add ons that help you calculate totals based on locations from USPS and FEDEX?

Is there a way to assign certain prices to certain states per item? I know it will take a while but my products aren't going to change much and once something is done its done.

I have such a headache please help !

Why can't you just assign weights to your products and let USPS and FedEx tell you how much the shipping will be ?

how is ups and fedex going to tell me how much they would be?

are you talking about a ups or fedex addon that calculates? that's what I want.

There are such mods for both shippers in the Plugins area. Once installed, they will place an 'Estimate Shipping' box on the shopping cart page for the customer's convenience and will calculate the shipping for the Checkout Shipping page.

can you recommend a plugin for fedex and usps?

my eyes were literally failing and I had to take a break , I didn't even see the shipping plugins section.

I had been going hard for hours.

I ended up installing the USPS plugin, I had to call 3 times to get my account moved to production but it worked !

IF you go on my site www.bocahydro.com and go under media and put a pack of rockwool blocks in the cart shipping is 6.15 which is accurate !

Im thrilled

I have to do fedex still, Anyone recommend a fedex app? im not doing ups ( too much schenanigans with them )
