    help question Multiple images

    Hi All,

Please do not disregard this post and reply with a link, as I'm not trying to add additional images.

I have added several products to my Zen Cart store, each a variant of a certain product. Each product is called 'Catfish #1', '...#2', '...#3' and so on.

Everything was going well until I noticed that each product shows pictures of the other related products (not as related products, but as actual pictures connected to that product). For example, 'Catfish #21' displays every single Catfish picture from other Catfish products. I only want one picture for each product.

I'm very confused, because I haven't actually changed anything in my settings to this effect. I thought it might be due to me naming each one with a hastag. Maybe it connected them in these ways. So I changed it to just read 'Catfish 1'. This hasn't solved anything.

My only other idea is that the actual name of the jpeg effects it. Each file is called 'catfish_1', etc.

Every time I think I'm getting the hang of it, Zen Cart always springs something new on me! *Frustrated*

    Thanks,
    Emma

I've just deleted the picture from 'Catfish #1', and it appears it's a connection with the pictures. As soon as I deleted it, there were no longer any other pictures connected to it. Seems like I might have to rename and upload each picture for every product! Hopefully the system won't recognise words, so I might just have to rename each picture to 'Catfish one', 'Catfish two', etc.

As much of a pain this is, I've found a way of relating different products, which might come in handy once I start adding different attributions :)

Hopefully once I rename and upload these files again my problem will be solved. If not I'l reply to this thread.

    Thanks anyway!

It sounds like typical 'additional images' behavior, which is based on the beginning of the image name. If you don't want additional images to appear, turn them off in Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout.

Thanks Stevesh. I appreciate the reply.

On this occasion though, I may keep this feature as it looks like it'll be helpful in the future!

    Thanks,
    Emma
