Will Not Begin Installation

Hi

Completely new to Zen Cart and have been trying in vain so far to install version 1.5.1 from fresh, no preceeding version on server, all PHP and MySQL version is webhost so completely up to date. Site uploaded to live server via FTP and then database created, with user (Admin), All of the permissions configured for the files, including the config.php in includes and admin/includes. Everything works fine up until I reach the URL for the site which properly displays the
"Hello. Thank you for loading Zen Cart" etc. and when I click on "click Here" to begin installation all I receive is a blank screen, not even an error message. I am new to Zen Cart so a little lost as to how to proceed, I have contacted my Host but they seem as dumbfounded as me, anybody come across this before or have any suggestions as to how to overcome this really bemusing state of affairs.

A blank page *should* generate an error log. Via FTP find the directory named 'logs'. Do you have any logs in there? Something like myDEBUG-1234567890-12345

Hi thanks for the reply, nothing in the log folder,

This is a black page at the zc_install/index.php page at the start of installation

Ive just upload all the files again to a different folder and done everything else that needs to be done and same thing, blank page when trying to install

Your seeing the install page? so are your clicking the Click here to begin installation link and the install page is coming up?

All I get is a (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) page

500 errors can only be trouble shot by your host in most cases

Thanks, I had an idea it may be a server error on the host side so I've submitted a ticket to get them t look at it.

Sorry I see your issue now, yes I get blank page upon clicking the install link.
