I need help troubleshooting this problem. Any help on where to start is greatly appreciated.
1. I noticed Wednesday of this week that I was no longer receiving confirmation emails when customers make a purchase.
2. The Zencart Version is 1.3.9 and I have not changed any settings. Email transport method is php and have been set the same for years on this site without any issues. (Again these settings have been in place since version 1.39 was released with no changes- and all worked fine until now.)
3. This morning I started testing to see if I can figure out the problem. For years I was using paypal standard with no issues what so ever. Reading the forums lead me to install Paypal EC. I now have paypal express checkout installed, and I still have the same issue. I made several test transactions and found that I am still not getting the purchase confirmation email, and neither is the buyer. This site is hosted on Godaddy (dedicated server). I also noticed that if I send an email via the contact us form from the site, I do not receive it, but if I send an email to the stores email address from my aol, yahoo, or even gmail account it comes through fine.
4. Thinking it was a problem with Godaddy email, I set up two fresh installs on two other hosting accounts I have. Arvxie (Dedicated Server), and Blue Host (Shared). Both have the new version 1.5.1 of Zencart freshly installed. One has Paypal EC installed, the other Paypal Pro installed. I made several test transactions with each and I am still not getting the confirmation emails when a purchase has been made. I sent a message via the contact us form from both sites and the emails are still not coming through.
5. The test transactions are processed and I can see them when I go to Paypal, but that is the only way that I know a purchase has been made. (other than in the Admin)
I have no clue where to look to even start fixing this issue. Any ideas? Can't seem to wrap my brain around why three different hosting providers are experiencing the same thing, unless it's in the email settings with Zencart, but things have been working fine for years so that does not seem to be the issue to me but I could be wrong.
