    Default Problem receiving Confirmation emails

    I need help troubleshooting this problem. Any help on where to start is greatly appreciated.

    1. I noticed Wednesday of this week that I was no longer receiving confirmation emails when customers make a purchase.

    2. The Zencart Version is 1.3.9 and I have not changed any settings. Email transport method is php and have been set the same for years on this site without any issues. (Again these settings have been in place since version 1.39 was released with no changes- and all worked fine until now.)

    3. This morning I started testing to see if I can figure out the problem. For years I was using paypal standard with no issues what so ever. Reading the forums lead me to install Paypal EC. I now have paypal express checkout installed, and I still have the same issue. I made several test transactions and found that I am still not getting the purchase confirmation email, and neither is the buyer. This site is hosted on Godaddy (dedicated server). I also noticed that if I send an email via the contact us form from the site, I do not receive it, but if I send an email to the stores email address from my aol, yahoo, or even gmail account it comes through fine.

    4. Thinking it was a problem with Godaddy email, I set up two fresh installs on two other hosting accounts I have. Arvxie (Dedicated Server), and Blue Host (Shared). Both have the new version 1.5.1 of Zencart freshly installed. One has Paypal EC installed, the other Paypal Pro installed. I made several test transactions with each and I am still not getting the confirmation emails when a purchase has been made. I sent a message via the contact us form from both sites and the emails are still not coming through.

    5. The test transactions are processed and I can see them when I go to Paypal, but that is the only way that I know a purchase has been made. (other than in the Admin)

    I have no clue where to look to even start fixing this issue. Any ideas? Can't seem to wrap my brain around why three different hosting providers are experiencing the same thing, unless it's in the email settings with Zencart, but things have been working fine for years so that does not seem to be the issue to me but I could be wrong.

    check to see if the emails are being generated by ZenCart - once generated - they are passed off to the MTA and ZenCart has no more to do with them

    Thanks, Kobra.

    Just checked and see that the emails are being generated, so I have to ask, where would I go next? I looked at the link you posted and for the site on GoDaddy I changed the email transfer method from php to smtp as they stated, and then sent test emails but they are still not being received. So I am going to assume I need to go to the hosting provider for this?

    You have to get the sending function corrected...
    Are these email addresses within your server/mail client or ones setup by GD?

    They are email addresses within my server/mail client.

    Also been on the phone with Godaddy and Blue Host, and because I am getting mail from all others they feel it is not on their end. I have been receiving customer emails fine, but any email that comes through ZC I am not receiving.

    From your posting it seems that only emails that are generated in ZenCart are not being received - -totally a different matter

    As you have determined that they are being generated - then the reason they are not delivered has to do with your email server or your settings in ZenCart

    Being generated and actually being received by your email server is where I would be looking

    Check your spam? Maybe your domain has been flagged for spam. Or maybe the ip address has? If you have a dedicated server usually you have your own ip address. sorta... often times dedicated servers will route through the same ip address. If some one else is working with the same ip as yours they might be spamming the entire internet with spam emails and have gotten your ip redflagged. This doesn't seem the case as the problem exists with all 3 hosts. To me is sounds like some one went and messed with your email settings in zen cart. Change your passwords and correct your settings.
