    help question A week of frustration - Just want free shipping or 9.95 Priority Express to U.S.

    v1.5.1
    I have tried and tried so many different configurations to no avail. Free, not free, 0 weight option, everything.... Seemed like it was cut and dried.
    I even tried free shipping (and none too) then added a options for all items (default free shipping or 9.95 Priority Express radio buttons) in attempt to circumvent all shipping module interference.
    Too many confusing messages in cart process that would require core hacks to rem them out.

    I am selling my custom made silver jewelry so, I just need free Priority USPS or $9.95 if they want Priority Express. Weight, item count, zone does not matter (except selling to U.S. only).

    I just want free shipping or 9.95 Priority Express. That is it. Seems easy?
    Shipping config options are spread out in so many areas of admin it is driving me nuts.
    I switched from OS and others to test Zen. I am not very relaxed and ready to begin aerodynamic testing.

    (There are other issues I have as well as the IPN is kicking back the 10002 error and no, I am not in sandbox and paypal says credentials are correct but, I'll post in correct thread for that one. Worked 4 days now with slow and vague paypal support to no avail! Need a google checkout plugin here people.)

    Took me less than 4 hours to design graphics, style it out and configure Zen and was VERY hopeful as was seemingly a piece of ZenCake.
    I have installed many cart sites over the last 20 years, (also write my own in Perl) so, I am not "completely" oblivious.

    I must get this up and running QUICKLY as my wife just lost her job at Molex of 18 years due to corporate outsourcing and we need to take my jewelry online to keep the lights on. (Molex Inc sold out actually too so, sell your Molex stock if ya got it!)

    I have given up and here I am begging for a guru before I dump this.

    Can someone help?

    I have tried multiple modules, just the free module, free shipping and flat together, flat and free shipping options together and pretty much every combination or lack there of.
    Here is the last attempt: flat, free with options and free are currently selected.
    Attached is the shot but, not relevant as I have tired everything and I need to know HOW TO SET UP 9.95 or free. Would also like store pickup as an option but, I don't see that being copacetic either.

    I sure hope you can help..

    The PayPal IPN 10002 is really bugging me as well.

    I bow to you sir.. That was it.
    PayPal support is so f.o.s.. I had turned off API access right before I contacted them. They still said it worked.

    Michigan huh, I lived there in the 70's for a stretch but, was born in Dayton.
    Sure do miss the produce, seasons, hills and everything actually, except the sub zero temps, muggy summers and tornadoes (I was in Xenia when they came through). Yeah, hot here too but, sea breeze and tiki bars make it tolerable.

    I have many questions.

    What is "shipping tax"?
    Why do I need a customers address for store pickup? Just account set up?
    (If they pick up at the store, they must pay TN sales tax no matter where they live.)
    Why is there no "Store" radio button?

    Just because it is simple does not mean it's easy...

    This is what I need:
    0- Free Priority shipping for any order total, qty or weight. (no tax for any state except TN (for now))
    1- $9.95 Priority Express option in case they need it faster. (no tax for any state except TN (for now))
    2- Free in store pick up and Pay local sales tax obviously. (can order online and p/u in store)


    Am I crazy(er) or is that just not do-able without hacking?

    This is what I need:
    0- Free Priority shipping for any order total, qty or weight. (no tax for any state except TN (for now))
    1- $9.95 Priority Express option in case they need it faster. (no tax for any state except TN (for now))
    2- Free in store pick up and Pay local sales tax obviously. (can order online and p/u in store)
    1 Turn on Free Shipping Options freeoptions and set the Total >= 0
    Country: United States
    Zone: Tennessee

    2 Turn on the Flat Rate flat shipping module and set the amount to 9.99 and then, change the language file for flat.php to read Priority Express rather than Flat Rate

    3 Turn on the Store Pickup storepickup

    Tax should be charged for Store Pickup just because a person picks Store Pickup and it should apply your Tax as if the customer's address were in your state ...

    NOTE: on your Shipping Modules, you should either change the shipping module with the Sort Order of 1 to have a Sort Order of 0 ... or, you should change all of the other shipping modules to be Sort Orders with unique values greater than 0 ...
