Table rate error - hum

here is a problem i have discovered,

I have an item which I want to put on my site but don't really want to post out (as it very big and breakable) but want to give local people the option to buy online and ill deliver in the van my self.

so i created the item and set its weight to 5000

in the table rate shipping module is set the following: 40:24.99, 50:33.325, 1000:41.658, 4900:125.000,

this should mean if anyone adds the item to cart they would see the shipping of £150 (125+vat)

If someone was to check out and pay the £150 I would hire a driver for the day and get it delivered or do it my self.

how ever it seems to show the shipping as £0.00.... ie FREE!!! which i can't have!

whats going on!?

if i lower the weight on the item it shows the other prices, but not my silly high postage range at 4900 or above!

please help

5000 is greater than 4900 ... your last define in the Table Rates so it comes out to 0.00 ...

Add a last rate set to higher than your Maximum Weight in your Shipping/Packaging so some could order 1 - 2+ of this Product and get that high rate ...

of so put something like 10000000000:250 at the end so anything over added??

changed the 4900 to 10000 now working, I thought it was anything over 4900 = the price when it actually anything upto or between.

Nope, right now it uses your last define and then goes to 0.00 if there is no define that can work ...

ill still need add a massive rate though also just incase someone adds 2 or 4 of these items to the cart as this would then give them free delivery.

That is more or less what I was inferring so that it still worked on multiple quanties for 2+ ...

so 1000:41.658, 10000:125.000, 1000000:248.8

anyhwre between 0-999will cost 41.658+vat, 1000-9999 will cost 125+vat, 10000-100000 will cost 248.8+vat, anything over would cost £0.00??

which would be cool if someone order that much i would be happy to take it personally for free and shake their hand and thank them :-D

In your Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... what are your settings on Maximum Weight and the Tare Rates?
