Default Trade accounts and seperate logins...

    Hi.
Is there a way to have a completely separate login for the trade customers? I use dual pricing but I want something seperate where they can log in to go to a trade only page with the trade only products and pricing.

    Thank you

Not sure exactly what you're after, but:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=74

    http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=963

Another obvious option would be a separate Zencart site for trade customers.

If I was to go down the rout of having a seperate site and had the link that says trade login to link them. How do you add 2 zencart sites to one domain? I would want it all under one domain so I do not have to pay for another website and have another domain.

So If I created a page on my hose that comes off the main one then install the second zencart there or would that not work.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks

I already use hidden wholesale and dual pricing for a wholesale level that is for a different type of wholesale customer. I posted on here before about usind the dual pricing for a second level and no one seemed to know what to do. The second level wholesale is going to have very different amounts and pricing to the level one wholesale so I cannot just to the 2,1.50 in the pricing box as advised on the addon to create the two level wholesale.

You could install the trade site in a subdirectory, like yoursite.com/trade and link to it from the main site. Depending on how much of your business is with trade customers, you could install the trade and retail sites each in its own subdirectory and have a page in the site root with links to both.

Think I prefer the first option. Will give that a go.

    Thank you

Actually, if I do that and I wanted the link for the trade login on the ezpages bar, can you install zencart into an ez page? Does that make sense?

    OR

This may be a better idea. At the top of my page there is the normal login link. Would anyone know if I can add another link next to that one that goes to another folder where I can install the new zencart or is that getting a little complicated? Not sure if I would struggle with that, sounds like a lot of changes such as altering css, new sub dir etc.

So you can have a look at what I mean, here is my site craftjam.co.uk and my template is estorenow

    Thanks
    Amy

The EZ page way is, well, easy. Just create the EZ page and use the External Link option to point to the trade site.

The second way is possible, but not as simple.

Ok, Might go for the ez page one. WHen I do that, where/ what folder do I FTP the zencart to as I am not too sure about that.

Then when I have uploaded it all, to go to install would it be...
    http://{www.mydomain.com}/(folders leading to ezpages)/(name of ezpage)/zc_install/

Not too sure, been a while since I did it and was not too sure from the instructions that that was right.

    Thank you

Nope, you're combining two things into one. Install the second copy of Zencart in, say, craftjam .co .uk/trade as usual (upload the Zencart files to http: //craftjam .co .uk/trade and run the installation). Once you have it set up and ready, create an EZ page on the first site and use this in the External Link URL box: http: //craftjam .co .uk/trade.
