    Default 2 Confirmation Emails

Hi, on our website we use Cardsave as a payment processor. The customer goes through the checkout process and is then redirected to Cardsave to pay, and then sent back to the website. The problem is that once the customer presses the confirm checkout button on the website, they are automatically sent an email saying thankyou for your order before they have even attempted to pay on the cardsave site. They are then sent another email once payment has gone through with cardsave telling them the payment was successful. Now we are getting more orders, we are having quite a few phone calls from customers who are confused as to what is going on. Does anybody know how we can stop this happening or point me in the right direction as to what files to look at? Thanks in advance

Hi, The first email is from Zen Cart, the second is from Cardsave. The problem isn't that there are 2 emails, the problem is that the Zen Cart Email is being sent before the customer has even purchased anything. So for example, if the customer goes to the checkout and then clicks on the link to Cardsave to pay, but then decides they want to add something else to their order and presses the back button to go back to the website, Zen Cart will send them an email saying thanks for the order and will also send it to our admin as an order but with pending status. Some people are getting confused because when they do pay and check their emails after, they may have more than one email saying thanks for your order all with different order numbers, and they are thinking they have been charged more than once. Ideally, we need a way for Zen Cart to not send out the default email until they are redirected back to the website after paying (so the payment confirmation screen), at the minute Zen Cart is sending the email from the Checkout Confirmation screen link. Hope this makes sense, and thanks for replying.

Sounds like your cardsave plugin isn't designed to work the way you desire it to.

Yeah, it is the Cardsave module that is at fault. Do you have any idea what part of the Zen Cart code actions the email from Zen Cart to be sent though? Im hoping i can just tweak it so that it doesnt send until the customer is redirected back.

Im still having problems with this if anybody could help please? I have contacted Cardsave and as I thought, they said it would be an issue with my Zen Cart. I'm completely lost now as to what to try. I don't think it can be the Cardsave module at fault, because none of the core Zen Cart files were modified in the installation. I've got no idea where to look in Zen Cart though to fix it? I'm just trying to wrap my head around what file controls the sending of the email at the checkout confirmation page. If somebody could point me in the right direction I can have a look at the files and see whats happening.
    Thanks
