    Default SEO Help

I was looking around and saw alot of plugins for this. I have had my zencart for 4 years and never used a plugin yet. Is there an easy to use plugin for seo? Something with user friendly url's. I hope this is the right place.

What exactly makes you think you need 'user-friendly' URLs ?

You should stop reading things that are written by those who's business is to sell you their SEO services.

Actually, I shouldn't tar them all with the same brush. There are a RARE FEW SEO experts around that will tell you the truth about this, which is basically, the contents of the URL doesn't make any significant difference to a site ranking. There are far more important and significant matters that you should concern yourself with for good SEO results.

If you take a look at how Google is currently displaying site listings, you'll also find that the site URL is virtually obfuscated from the users even. Being sandwiched between the big bold page titles, and the highlighted 'keywords' from the page content.

This topic has been discussed to death in the ZenCart forums.

    Cheers
    Rod

There are three URL rewriter mods in Plugins: Simple SEO URLs, Ultimate SEO URLs and CEON URI Mapping. All of them work when used right. Many here prefer CEON for its flexibility and stability.

I believe all three will work with all recent versions of ZC. You might need to use a particular mod version; read the descriptions.

Although there are options, if you do choose to go with easy URI's (easy for visitors to remember) also plan on how to apply them to all of the items in your cart. Some may require more effort to implement than others for existing products. (May require either manual entry, a script to populate, or perhaps other existing assistive tools.)
