Add a landing page while developing

Hi,

I'm looking to create a page to disply while I'm working on my cart that I can use instead of the under construction page. Is there a way I can upload a page to my site that will display while I work on the shop and can remove when it's ready?

Most server configurations will load index.html first, then index.php. I just create a blank page named index.html and place it in the root directory of my store.
