Yea, that would be good. Right now it comes up with my .07 .lb letters as costing $1.95 domestic.

That would scare quite a few customers away.

I am actively doing this for both UPS and freight.

I've not contributed the latest version of the code I am using (needs some more testing and a couple fixes for handling shipping from more than one country), but the code already contributed to "DropShip Core" can handle this (among many other things). It does involve some rework of existing shipping modules (works out of box with UPS) and someone handy to enter all the package and product dimensions / weights.

You might also take a look at the offerings from Numinix. I believe they have a module which integrates with their Fedex Module as well as UPS and USPS for dimensional shipping.
