So yeah, as is, EP4 will not update the CEON URI Mapping URI table when a product is added. That requires some additional effort, but the link will still work if the proper information is carried over for the product/product type. Take a look at your product table field list to see if there are some fields that might need to be in your EP4 table. Wondering if there is something that your product type is expecting that is not being populated by EP4 (out-of-the-box).
