    Default my overrides not activating

    I have moved my zen cart store to a new server. In doing so, I reinstalled zen cart to the new server. When I uploaded my custom template files and selected the template through admin, the default template still shows. The source code revealed that my custom template files are not being used instead of the default files. What is going on?

    Followed the direction of the applicable FAQ? Updated the configure.php files?
    Sure things were loaded to the correct directory(ies)?

    What do you mean that looking at the source code revealed that the overrides are not being used?

    I mean that when I looked at the source code of my web page using the view source code feature on my web browser, I saw that none of my css files from my custom template were being used. Thanks for replying.

    No problem, thanks for the clarification. If you weren't seeing your new template, I would expect that you wouldn't see the CSS either.

    The document I was referring to was: http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?...fferent-server

    You say you selected your custom template in admin. Did you also go to Tools > Layout Boxes Controller and hit "reset"? In view source, is the custom template folder in the path to any files? Is /classic/ in any file paths? Are you seeing the default Classic template, or an odd brightly colored flat looking page?

    Yes gjh42, I am seeing the classic default template. And /template_default/ is showing in my file paths.

    When this happened to me in the past, I needed to turn the classic green template on, then select my custom template (after completing the configure.php file checks listed above.)
    Admin -> Tools-> Template Selection -> Edit
    Select the Classic template -> Update
    Check the site again.
    Then go back select your custom template.

    When that doesn't work, look on your remote server directly to see if the files really are on the server where the override system can see them.

    I reinstalled everything and now when I select my custom template a warning message is displayed. The message says, "Warning: an error has occurred, please refresh the page and try again. "
