    So one thing that comes to mind is that your PHP version is 5.4... Supposedly ZC Version 1.5.2 is being evaluated for distribution to work with PHP 5.4 (because supposedly 1.5.1 and below may not/will not work with PHP 5.4)... So, this may be why (and I have no test ground to confirm) the installation is not offering the ability to move forward. Are you able to downgrade your version of PHP to 5.3 or 5.2? The other alternative may be to implement the "unreleased" version of 1.5.2 or if it was not the problem with PHP 5.4 that required you to upgrade to instead return to your backup of your site at version 1.3.9h?

    Other far fetched things that come to mind are, is java up-to-date on your computer (not sure that "required" but wouldn't hurt), have you tried with different browsers? The default installation package as made available from zen-cart com I would think is relatively robust enough to handle almost any standard browser. I think however, that it is the PHP version that has caused your trouble...

    Tend to disagree: ZC 1.5.1 works with PHP 5.4, one of my clients even runs a heavily modified 1.3.9h live site on PHP 5.4 - without a single glitch.

    @johnnycascio

    download a fresh version of the zc 1.5.1 install files and start from scratch - the ZC installer has never failed me in more than 6 years of running this software.

    I can live with being wrong about that. I had seen elsewhere someone suggest a path where an individual had both php 5.2 and 5.4 available and it was suggested that because of the problems they were having when 5.4 was enabled, that they load a fresh copy do the update and then with 5.4 enabled take a look. Led me to think that they were to do all of that with 5.2 in place.

    Also and yes I think that a fresh copy of the package should be downloaded, the OP has stated in another thread that they have done this already. Of course I don't know if anyone has suggested uploading the files again. (Some may not have transferred fully) also. Haven't talked about what program has been used to transfer the files, etc... This post was the first time that php version was discussed, so I hooked onto it as a possibility. I was wrong. Please forgive me.

    This is a stark example of why it is never recommended to try upgrades or modifications on a live site. If you had followed the advice given many places here, you would have done this on a *copy* of your site, with the live site humming along as usual while you took care of the upgrade at leisure in the background.

    Your best bet if you can do it is to revert to the latest backup of files and database (you did take a backup before you started the upgrade, right?) so your store can get running again, and then work out the issues you are having.

    This isn't on a live site ...I have a new install in another folder I installed directly form my cPanel on the server. Besides my 1.3.9 was so corrupted over the last 3 years, it didn't really matter as many functions were going down the toilet. I have a degree in computers and know a thing or two about programming tyvm.

    I did, thank you. I hired an expert software engineer to correct the add to cart button not functioning in addition to the database upgrade since no one here could help resolve the issue...so the donation went to her.
    Peace.

    If it was so corrupted, how can we possibly help you with your issue? Sounds like a combination of problems which you experienced...
