    Default Customer Create Account -> Time Out?

    Bypassed the date.timezone not set error on hosted install. Installed to subdomain without SSL. Created a test account in the store, the account was created successfully, but instead of create_account_success being displayed I was "rewarded" with the time_out page. From that page, I was able to enter the credentials provided during create_account and successfully logged in.

    I'm not sure what additional information can aid in the diagnosis of this issue.

    Actually, it's worse than I thought. After signing in (with no message), my test customer is not logged in (header menu still shows login, trying to access the account page redirects to login).

    This is really weird. I can sign into (and remain logged into) my admin, but not the storeside. The store-side sessions are just not "sticking". I've modified the login header_php.php to dump the $_SESSION contents prior to its redirect upon successful login and also modified init_sessions.php to dump the contents of $_SESSION just after the session is started. The customer-related information is present in the session prior to the redirect, but not after!

    $_COOKIE['zenid'] == $_REQUEST['zenid'] != $_SERVER['HTTP_COOKIE']['zenid']

    I deleted the zenid cookie and retried the login, with the same results (cookie == request != server).

    Running the latest version of FireFox (25.0.1), if that matters. Will retry with IE and Chrome.

    Curiouser and curiouser ... both IE and Chrome allow the login. Is it because I did the install via the Firefox session that I'm using to try the login? I'll shut down Firefox and try again ...

    After shutting down Firefox and reattempting the login, it's successful. Ergo: it's something to do with using the same session as the install.

    I couldn't reproduce this with Chrome or with Firefox, with a retry of the installation procedure.
