I had not realized that about the log folder...thanks for telling me.

I will check it out, right now host is trying to assist me with restoring database...it got a will of its own cause now they seem to not be able to get it all uploaded either.

Also, there are error logs that the host has, and it may be possible that an error was written there and not in ZCs logs. Also said kept the configure.php files, but there have been some changes to that also, so would sort of need to update the configure.php files with the new "format/information" but keep the settings of existing.

Well I am in a pickle that is for sure. The host finally got the DB to restore...YAY however, now when I go to upgrade the feature is not there, it tells me I am not in upgrade mode. Also when I go to the main store link I am now told it can not connect to the database.

will check to make sure the database has the configure info and if not, then I will just have to reset all the 1.3.9h files back in there.

Are you updating the LIVE STORE????? Because unless you are updating the live store there is NO NEED for the host to have to restore anything.. if it's development store you are working on (as was STRONGLY suggested) all you'd have to is wipe out your development store and START OVER..

yes the live one...already did the teststore and all went well

then per instructions I moved the files from test to live store to upgrade it and that is when it all went south

I have since brought the store back to its original state even though the database says it is patched to 1.5.1 the actual files are 1.3.9h

I shalll try again later on when my head doesn't hurt as much.

Diva, hope this response does not sound snippy cause it is not meant to be, just frustrated with meself cause I just know it is an OP error

closest thing i got to wine is my cherry pie filling..LOL took out frustrations on my own site and made some cherry turn overs...

as I said went to upload the old version files...that went well, can access the store now and admin...

due to admin settings error I added the table section for admin_level again so now can access admin settings.

The database claims to be version 1.5.1 but running 1.3.9

got a server error in nearly all his directories for [20-Dec-2013 00:15:54 America/New_York] PHP Warning: Module 'SourceGuardian' already loaded in Unknown on line 0

which host says that sourceguardian is used by developers and it does not appear to be hampering his server any so they are not going to do anything about it, hence we live with the ever growing error_log that sports only that error...LOL

I am going to wait a day or two before attempting to try the upgrade...hoping it will NOT tell me that it willdestroy DB in order to continue casue then I have no clue what to do.

while at it will try the classic template that has been doctored to look like his monster one...hope it works too.

Only other thing I can think of is to find out exactly what/how to make the DB be 1.3.9h again.

ust thinking about all this makes me wanna crawl into a corner and not come out Attachment 13588
