try this settings in configuration --> email settings

(a) "E-Mail Transport Method" set to PHP
(b) Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails = "true"
(c) Send E-Mails = true
(d) Email Archiving Active? "false"

to edit the email try editing this file
includes/languages/english/checkout_process.php

This worked for me
