Twitch TURN OFF SaleMaker, Specials & Discount Coupons for Wholesale Customers
for ZenCart v1.51 - Version 13a
December 21.2013

This module will make the following ZenCart default modules unavailable for wholesale clients:
- SaleMaker
- Specials Pricing
- Discount Coupons

Bonus - Includes an update to clean up the look of the discount coupon module in the checkout.


The code changes/files provided are based on a clean ZenCart v1.51 install with these working modules:

Twitch Wholesale with Twitch Wholesale Attributes
Twitch List Price
Twitch Base Price
Twitch Hidden Searchable Model Number

Also works with:
Twitch SaleMaker & Specials for Attributes


(Note: This module could easily be adapted to work in reverse - wholesale customers see sales/specials/discounts, retail do not.)

Just curious... how tricky will it be to use this mod without the others you mention? Do you have directions for detangling them, or is the code commented such that it would be straightforward to move the current mod edits to a clean copy of the file(s)?

(I have a couple of mods where one needs special code in the files primarily belonging to the other in order to work, but you don't want the code active if the first mod is not installed. I added checks in the second to see if the first mod is installed in order for the correct code version to be used.)

No tricks, technically you don't need to have the other modules installed, the filter could just return false and continue on with the code. What modules are you trying to make this work with?

I'm not trying to use it, just wondered. So there are no actual dependencies that would cause problems, right?

The filters are setup inside of the default functions, that way the functions will continue to return the appropriate values when called upon.

Hiding the functions would light cart errors up like a Christmas tree... not recommended.
