    red flag Logs' location

    I have a copy of a customer's order that
came through with a missing shipping
address and a missing shipping amount.
I need to start researching this to find if
it's an isolated incident or if it's from a
    hack attempt.

    Where are the logs kept?

Can I access them through the admin
panel somewhere, or will I have to
review files on my ISP's server?

    Regards,

    Dr Doug

The logs are, for Zen Cart v1.5.1, kept in the /logs directory (some of the payment modules have their own location). You can download and install the Display Logs plugin and it will allow you to view and delete those logs using that utility.

That log program though won't necessarily show what was in the cart/where they requested the shipment be made to though (unless there is a log made by one of the payment processors to identify that type of info and it is stored where display logs looks). If an error was generated in the process it would appear in the results of that useful plugin. Thinking to get the level of detail desired for that one purchase, may need to review host logs. To identify similar occurrences, well time/history would/should identify, otherwise if suspecting hack attempt should look over the actions to recover from a hack listed in the forum.
