The site doesn't appear to have an SSL certificate installed at all (or the server is misconfigured and simply can't read it).

I suggest that until the host resolves the issue that you simply disable the SSL functionality. Other than a false sense of security that SSL will protect against all manner of evils, most sites don't actually need this anyway.
