Is it possible to link an additional image to more than one product, for example:
Product X
Product X extra image
Product Y
Product X extra image
This could save some disk space.
Tnx !

yes, the image link just needs to point at the (one) source image.

Twitch Base8 - Obsidian - This, is what's new.
It is all in the naming of the file(s).
So let's say product x's picture is named 123.gif
Product Y's picture is supposed to be a different item, thus a different picture.
But, the goal is to have an additional image that is usable by both, so the additional image must at least begin with 123 (and should end with .gif as well) but, it can not be the exact same name as the main picture, so must have at least one more character, and then because it will be an additional image for one more item, it must have yet another character added, therefore it should at least be 5 characters in length (when considering that product X's filename was 3 characters in length), and product Y's image be 4 character's in lengt (one more than product X's, and less than the shared image).
So, as before product X: 123.gif
Product Y: 1234.gif
Common additional image: 12345.gif
If wanted an additional image for X, but not Y, then could use 1235.gif
But there is no way to have an additional image for Y that is not associated with X under this naming convention used to conserve disk space. Also, this type of pattern could continue for N products, but the last one could never have an additional image of it's own.

You could instead have:
Product X image
Additional image (of product Y)
Product Y image
Using similar process as before:
X: 123.gif
Y: 1234.gif
Will result in the above

Might be a solution in search of a problem anyway. My host's cheapest shared plan ($4 a month) provides 5Gb of disk space. If you used half of that for images, and your average image was 20Kb in size, you would be able to store 125,000 images, far more than most Zenners, I'd guess.

I don't know if this will help you or not but I use Magic Zoom Plus for my images and I have them lined up like this:
image.jpg
image_01.jpg
image_02.jpg
image_03.jpg
This helps me keep track of each image and works really well. It would also be a good idea to limit their file size to 50-60 KB for search engine optimization. Google is very picky about this. If you want to take a look at my site:
