Can a default manufacturer be set for all products that are added to zen cart

Hello,

For digital products in my store i only need one manufacture and it is that one manufacture that is used for all products added to the store.

Can anyone help me out with what files I can amend that will allow me to set a default manufacturer for all products that are added to zen cart rather than having to repeat the set of picking from the manufacture drop list each time I add a new product?

From your question, I'm assuming that you're adding these products manually. Navigate through your admin's Catalog->Categories/Products until you're viewing a product list that contains one of your digital products. On the far righthand side of the screen, there are a series of round buttons for each product. Click the one that's dark-blue with a C in it (it displays "Copy to" when you hover). Choose the category into which the new product is to be created, select "Duplicate Product" and (unless there's a reason not to) make sure that "Copy Attributes to Duplicate" is set to Yes. Click the Copy button and the existing product will be duplicated ... using the same manufacturer, description text, price, etc. as the "copied" product!

I think what missesbehaven was trying to accomplish is have a particular manufacturer come up as default when entering new catalog items. This is a main problem for me... instead of clicking on the the manufacturer pull-down menu every time, it would be really cool to have it default to the manufacturer of my choice. Thx for any ideas on this.
