Email Templates and their uses

Hi, I see there are a group of html email templates within email/ can someone explain what the following templates are for and how/when they are triggered?

email/email_template_contact_us.html - ??
email/email_template_coupon.html - ??
email/email_template_default.html - ??
email/email_template_gv_mail.html - ??
email/email_template_gv_queue.html - ??
email/email_template_gv_send.html - ??
email/email_template_product_notification.html - ??

They are used when you choose to send HTMl emails and your customer elects to receive them.

Hi Steve, thanks for your reply. I am familiar with autoresponders, what I wanted to know was what these templates specifically related to. What is email_template_coupon etc and what user action would invoke the sending of this email..
