Adjust minimum quantity in shopping cart

I know this seems counterintuitive...

Basically what this person wants is to be able to Add by the min quantities while in the product pages and then adjust quantities by other amounts (usually less) in the shopping cart.
Personally I don't think this function is necessary but I thought I'd check. I think attributes would take care of this issue so I may look into using them with the checkbox mod.

My work around was to set the min qty to "1" for the 10% of the items they want to do this with.

Well, I think it would be best to try to use consistent terminology. The minimum quantity is a one time use value. Units are used throughout the quantity adjustment. The overall concept is not unusual; however, it is something that is specific and therefore would require some customization (like you are doing). Just realize ZC won't allow the final cart to have a quantity that doesn't fit the rules associated with minimum quantities and units. You may have to use some multiplier factor to "get started" and allow adjustments in the cart.
