Shipping Boxes Manager 2.2.0 - Nesting and Box Choice

Greetings, all.

I am trying to find some documentation about how Shipping Boxes Manager uses the Nesting Percent field.

Also, one of my test cases has three products in the shopping cart that should fit into three different sized boxes. The shipping modules appear to calculate three boxes correctly. What I see in the Shipping Estimate, though, is 3 boxes of the same (smallest) size. "United States Postal Service (3 Boxes) (1 lbs, 3 oz) (Priority Mail™ Small Flat Rate Box (1-day))" How can I check to see if the Medium and Large box are being calculated correctly? From this test, it does not look like it is.

What else can I tell any of you to assist in my debug?

Go to your Modules ... Shipping ... and edit the USPS module and turn on the Debug to Log ...

Next, test your shipping and you will find in the /logs directory the SHIP_something.log file ... Zip that and attach it to your post ...

Hi, Oba-san Ajeh.

I did as you suggested. ZIP file attached.

What I found looking at these logs is that the module does choose the correct boxes, and prices them correctly.

I had been looking at the screen debug previously which is not as complete. And, the user display still seems to indicate that all three items will each fit in a Flat Rate Small, rather than one small, one medium, and one large.

So, I think the question is answered. Feel free to examine the zip file if you'd like for anything else I may have missed.

Do you have the exact addon files that you are using and any customizations that you are using?

I'd like to try to recreate the problem, but it is difficult without the addons/customizations that you have done and database changes that you made ...

Ambitious, I know. I want things to look the way I want them to look. We all know how that works.

Thanks for looking in to this. Please note that other than the screen shot attached, I'm satisfied with the way the mods are working. The screen shot shows that the three boxes are all Small, when the reality is that it is one small, one medium, and one large.

Also, thanks for your work on the mods in general.
