PayPal Express vs Pro

I am new to setting up Zen Cart, so you will need to bear with me please.

I am based in New Zealand, but I'm setting up the site to sell products to Canadian and US customers in Canadian dollars.

It would seem that merchant bank processing is quite complicated when it comes to processing transactions crossing international borders like that (ie you need a Canadian bank account at the least) so I am also investigating PayPal as an option.

I am trying to get me head around what the difference is for the customer at checkout when they use PP Express Checkout vs PP Payments Pro. I have no visual references at the mo, so if somebody could help me with that I'd appreciate it.

I can only speak to the US version of Paypal, but to the customer, the difference is that he goes to Paypal's site to pay with Express (using a credit card or their own paypal balance), and stays on your site to pay with Pro (using their credit card). The difference to you is a monthly fee (regardless of sales) in addition to transaction fees with Pro, vs only transaction fees with Express.
