Panda Penguin - Should I tweak some pages to try and improve Site Ranking?

Hi all

I’m getting lots of emails stating my site is suffering from the Google Panda and Penguin releases because of keyword stuffing. Although not great we did have global rankings just below a million and improving but it has now dropped to nearly 4 million.

I don’t want to make page changes that don’t help or in fact make things worse.

Using a product page as an example:

Should I remove the h3 line of the product name? It’s just above the add to cart.
Should I remove the breadcrumbs on the bottom of the page?

You do use "aluminium" a lot of times, but all appropriately. I can't see the repetition of product name, breadcrumbs and details as "keyword stuffing" enough to draw the notice of search engines, but I do think they are unnecessary padding for people to read. Just put the add to cart in an easily accessible location, perhaps nearer the name and price, and streamline your page.

The messages you are receiving are from companies trying to sell their services to you, are they not?

Do you have any original content on your product pages, or are they all copied from manufacturer/distributor content? What distinguishes your product pages from a thousand other sites selling the same things?

thanks for your help. Your comments are helpful and reassuring. I'll concentrate more on page layout to improve user experience.

Yes the emails are from companies selling their services and promising a lot.

The majority of content is from manufacturers and is the same as a lot of others out there. We have started to add our own content and as a result of your help I think we'll concentrate on this more than we have already.
