another image question

I have tried to find the information I need but unable to find anything. I will be getting my new website any day and have a question before I go out of my way with preparing my images. Do I need to name my images before uploading to Zencart or is this something that I will be able to do after I upload them. I have a few hundred photos which Im not looking forward to this. Also does the keyword need to be included along with the product name when naming the image as from what I read that this will also be the alt tag? Im getting a bit nervous at this point.
